INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT, 2015 – Today:

As a result of large-scale reconstruction of the enterprise, “Zaporozhye Oil and Fat Plant”, PJSC has become one of the best enterprises in the industry both in Ukraine and abroad.


The company has introduced the advanced technologies from the leading European companies, allowing production of several types of margarine for special purposes, which were imported from abroad until that time. Now, Ukrainian confectionery and bakery enterprises have the opportunity to use high-quality and low-cost raw materials of domestic producers. Sunflower oil, margarine production and sunflower oilseed meal manufactured by “Zaporozhien OEP”, PJSC were certified in UkrSEPRO system, margarine production was additionally certified in GOST R system. However, the work on improving the technologies, quality and cost saving for processing is in progress.

2015 – the construction of a steaming station for the cleaning of railway and truck tanks, as well as the cleaning department of the steaming station, was completed.

2016 – apportion from the structure of PJSC " Zaporozhye Oil and Fat combinat" - PJSC "Zaporozhye oil extraction plant".
2016 – PJSC "ZMEZ" completed the modernization of capacities for processing sunflower seeds, which allowed to increase the processing volume to 2800 tons/day.

2017 – facilities of PJSC "ZMEZ" are transferred to the management of LLC "OPTIMUSAGRO TRADE».
2017 – LLC «OPTIMUSAGRO TRADE» successfully passed ISO 22000: 2005 and GMP + B2 certification, successfully passed the certification in the National System of Conformity of the Republic of Belarus, received the Halal Certificate for conformity with a standard of the "Halal", which allowed the products produced at the facilities ZAPOROZHSKIY OIL EXTRACTION PLANT, to take a rightful place in the European market
2017 – LLC «OPTIMUSAGRO TRADE» successfully passed ISO 22000: 2005 and GMP + B2 certification, successfully passed the certification in the National System of Conformity of the Republic of Belarus, received the Halal Certificate for conformity with a standard of the "Halal", which allowed the products produced at the facilities ZAPOROZHSKIY OIL EXTRACTION PLANT, to take a rightful place in the European market
2017 – 03.11.2017 state registration of the new edition of the Charter of the Joint-stock company "Zaporozhye Oil Extraction Plant" took place and the type of the Joint-stock company "Zaporozhye Oil Extraction Plant" changed from public to private. The change in the type of company from public to private is not its transformation. The Company is the legal successor of all property, all rights and obligations of the Public joint-stock company “Zaporozhye Oil Extraction Plant”. The change in the type of Company happened in compliance with a requirements of the Law of Ukraine " Concerning the Introduction of Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding the defense of Investors' Rights" of 7 April 2015 No.289-VIII and the Law of Ukraine " Concerning the Introduction of Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding the upgrade of Corporate Governance in stock companies "of March 23, 2017 N1983-VIII.

Plans for 2018r. – on purpose to expand the logistic capacities of the Company, as well as the possibility of simultaneous processing of two types of oilseeds in 2018, it is planned to purchase an additional truckloader for oilseeds.

MODERNIZATION,1994-2015 YEARS:

The new call of the times caused the need for the plant equipment reconstruction, production processes improvement and private infrastructure development.


1994г – reorganization of the enterprise into “Zaporozhye OFP (ZOFP)”, CJSC, increase of investments into the innovation production and equipment modernization.
1998г – start of the comprehensive energy-efficiency program, in particular, launch of the boiler for sunflower husk burning.
2000г – start of large-scale reconstruction of the production shops.
2002г – introduction of the automated power supply monitoring and control system (ASKUE) 2003г – commissioning of the margarine line for industrial processing and the production line of soft and liquid margarines of “Schroeder” Company. The International Quality Certification of the Enterprise Management System ISO 9001-2000.
2006г – the conceptual decision on the production development of sunflower seeds processing with increase in productivity and seeds, meal, oil and husk storage facilities was made.
2008г – construction of new production facilities for sunflower seeds processing started. Reconstruction of the sunflower seeds cleaning area as well as sunflower oil hydration area is in progress.

PRODUCTION INCREASE, 1955-1986 years:

Since the 60’s a period of large-scale development of the plant, increasing of its production capacity and equipment started.


1961 – installation for cooling and shaping of soap
1962-1964гг – reconstruction of the oil extraction plant.
1966-1967гг – installation for continuous deodorization of “DeSmet” hydrogenated fat.
1972-1974 гг – the second production line of packed margarine of “Johnson” Company.
1978г – continuous oil hydration line of “Lurgi” Company.
1980г – continuous margarine production line of “Johnson” Company.
1982г – installation for oils refining and deodorization installation of “AlfaLaval” Company.
1986г – new oilseed meal elevator with the capacity of 2,500 tons.

FORMATION, 1944-1955 years:

The history of the plant started in the last years of the war, and by the mid-50’s the company has become one of the flagships of the oil and fat industry.


1944 - the decision of the USSR State Committee of Defence (as of February 9, 1944) has planned the construction of oil and fat plant in the city of Zaporozhye with the possibility of processing oil seeds up to 100 tons/day and production of household soap 25 tons/day.
1946 - the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR (as of September 14, 1946) on the construction of fat plant, margarine and hydro plants.
1947 - the first soybean (worm-press) oil was obtained (September 11, 1947).
Launch of the extraction shop, start of sunflower seeds processing (December 17, 1947).
1949 - commissioning of the soap-making area.
1948, (March) – start of the margarine plant construction.
1951, (December) - the first output of margarine products.
1955 - merger of the fat plant and oil and fat plant into one enterprise.
